IPC Media produces over 60 iconic media brands, most of which are based at Blue Fin Building. Eight tenant companies are also housed at Blue Fin Building. Blue Fin Building is an architectural statement to match its world-famous neighbor, Tate Modern and gets its name from the 2,000 blue aluminium fins that cover the building's facade. The fins, manufactured in Poland, have a metallic finish that changes the building's appearance when viewed from different angles. Specifically placed to reflect the sun at different parts of the day, the fins provide constant shade inside the building. Within the contract, the London sustainable contract cleaning company, Principle Cleaning Services will be responsible for the cleaning of the purpose-built 12 floor building with central atrium. Over 35 Principle Cleaning Services' staff will be on hand to carry out daily office cleaning including washrooms, windows, reception areas, floors and the internal carpets. Principle Cleaning reviewed the manner in which the carpets are vacuumed and together with IPC, new innovative carpet cleaning equipment has been introduced. This includes a state of the art ride on battery vacuum machine. This will provide a better overall standard of cleaning, generating higher productivity which will in turn use fewer hours to reinvest into other areas of the contract. Steve Fox, Head of Facilities at IPC Media says, 'As a high profile media business, it was important for us to choose a cleaning company with experience in dealing with prestigious and high specification buildings. We were very impressed with the innovations with regard to new technology and cleaning methods as well as Principle Cleaning's staff training programme. Principle Cleaning has impressed us with its dedicated and experienced management team.' |
